FormscanBy Alan Magee - CAPPACURRY ZAK was runner-up to Winter Magic in this race 12 months ago having previously won at the Limerick Christmas meeting, and Leslie Young has taken the same route here with the Arakan gelding. He scored in fine style last time at Greenmount Park when staying on really strongly in the closing stages, and should confirm places with Oscar Lantern. The J P McManus colours dominate the top of the handicap, and Teacher’s Pet looks the pick of the trio. The Philip Dempsey-trained gelding has won twice here over hurdles, and also won twice over fences this autumn at Roscommon and Cork. He takes a drop in class after falling just after halfway last time in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown. Head Turner attracted some support prior to the abandonment of a race due to fog at Clonmel recently, while Kopookris is another switching to handicap company and should be noted in the market.
