The opponent that's worrying me most is Spancil Hill. That hurdles fourth placing at Ballinrobe on August 29th should leave him cherry ripe for this assignment. The Flemensfirth gelding routed the opposition at Wexford in April, earning himself a 14Ib rise in the ratings. However, he's still only a seven-year-old, and could easily have scope for plenty of improvement. Hopefully Spancil Hill won't be progressive enough to beat Vinnie Luck this time. Over fences and at a trip is when you'll see the best of Mick Winters' charge in my view, and he should be all set for a bold showing with conditions to suit and top man Jamie Codd up.
