FormscanBy Gary Carson - FLAT TO THE MAX looked a nice sort when winning on his debut for Ger Lyons at Navan back in April and has been snapped up by Gigginstown to go hurdling now. It was heavy ground when he won on the level so the going doesn't look an issue here and he is sure to be well schooled for the task ahead. His trainer Gordon Elliott looks to have a strong hand in the race and Monkeylou also has to be respected on his jumping bow. He won on his debut as a two-year-old but had been a little bit disappointing this term until bouncing back to winning ways at Killarney last month. With a Flat rating of 85 he'd probably be the pick of these but the fact that he has been described as head strong is a bit of a worry now going over hurdles. The third of the Cullentra trio Caldbeck has also shown a nice bit of the level and it will be interesting to see how he fares over jumps.
