FormscanBy Donal Murphy - Fabulous Saga will likely go off a short priced favourite here, and in search of value I'll side with FLORAMAR. The son of Ask ran well to finish eighth in a good quality maiden hurdle at Leopardstown on St Stephen's Day, with subsequent winners Kilfenora, Mezajy, Westland Row, Lyreen Lad, Athenry Boy, and Fridaynightlights all behind him. He was fourth on his next start at Down Royal in May, and makes his debut for the in-form yard of Conor O'Dwyer now. The aforementioned Fabulous Saga was disappointingly beaten on his last two starts, and he makes his debut over flights here with Ruby Walsh in the saddle. Masterson won six times on the level in the UK for Mick Channon, and he has his second start for Gordon Elliott now. He finished down the field on his debut for Elliott at Galway, and an improved performance can be expected from him now with Davy Russell in the saddle. Balkalin has some decent bumper efforts to his name, and he is another to consider with Roger Loughran in the plate for Barry Murphy.
