FormscanBy Gary Carson - Not a good race for the Irish with the last winner coming back in 2006 but NOBLE ENDEAVOR may be able to gain a rare victory in the contest for the travelling party. He was last seen winning the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting and ran out a good winner of that competitive event then. On his previous run he had finished fourth when sent off favourite for the Troytown Chase at Navan and that actually looks a very good run in hindsight with the winner Empire Of Dirt going on to run a cracker in the Irish Gold Cup. The form also got a boost at the weekend with runner-up Abolitionist scoring at Naas on Sunday. Holywell won this three years ago and was also second last year. His recent form leaves a bit to be desired but he tends to come alive here and it would be no surprise to see a big run. Label Des Obeaux comes here on a hat-trick and looks a progressive type. He could be a big player despite his 7lb rise for a win at Exeter last month.
