FormscanBy Gary Carson - OPTIMISED looks on a fair mark for his handicap debut here and should be able to make a mark in this grade. He has run with promise in maiden hurdles and it was a decent effort last time at Cork when he finished fourth to Boru Boy on his first attempt over this trip since he ran in a point-to-point. Itsallhappening has been beaten favourite in his two outings in handicap company but has run decent races in both and has to be a big player here. He could only finish fourth to Perfect Man last month at Thurles but the winner has franked that form since and Leila’s Island could further advertise it in the preceding event today. Varene De Vauzelle, who was a length back in fourth in that Thurles race, also has to come into calculations. Returntovendor, who was fifth to Perfect Man at Punchestown last time, is another to consider.
