FormscanBy Tom Weekes - SPECIFIC GRAVITY faces a fairly straightforward task in a desperately ordinary Claimer. He has proven an excellent servant for current connections, winning four times in 2016 and twice already this year. Ideally he would prefer slightly further but has won over a mile last year and comes here fit and well as an 85 rated runner. Indian Tomahawk finished 3 1/2L second to the selection in a similar Claimer last July and while he today meets that rival on 18lbs better terms, his recent form has been poor. Illusive Force has also won a previous flat race, at Wolverhampton in 2016 and while nicely suited by the trip, his most recent form is poor. Beautiful Ben has himself won four jumps races and is clearly capable in that sphere but was well held on his flat debut, over a mile at Limerick latest. Lost History has yet to show worthwhile form and was well held on handicap debut recently while Nabeel’s recent form is poor and Mack Miller needs to show drastic improvement to figure.
