FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - BRUTAL won a mile maiden at Leopardstown on his fourth outing, and he ended his juvenile campaign with a creditable fifth placing in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy. His efforts this term though have been decidedly low key, and he finished up his time with Ger Lyons when tackling a mile and a half for the first time, in the Listed King George V Cup, again at Leopardstown, on June 8th. Sheikh Fahad has been involved in jumps horses before with the likes of Castello Sforza, victorious in the 2015 Tattersalls Ireland Sales Bumper under the Pearl Bloodstock Ltd banner. However this could be a first for Qatar Bloodstock Limited, and it'll be fascinating to see if Gordon Elliott can make a hurdler of Brutal with the invaluable assistance of Davy Russell here.
