A previous course winner, today’s soft ground is essential to him and having run very well in a Group 3 at Tipperary recently, has race conditions in his favour here and has just 3lbs to find on adjusted ratings with top-rated Brendan Bracken. Brendan Bracken is bidding to win this race for the third consecutive year and while he appears to hold every chance, it is a slight concern he failed to run to his best here in August when conditions suited him. That was a higher class race than this though and he is well capable of bouncing back. Onenightidreamed is another mud lark and while he was behind the selection at Tipperary latest, has solid claims on overall form and has just 2lbs to find with the selection. Pincheck is progressive and while he too likes easy ground, faces a step up in class today while Reckless Gold was placed at Listed level in June but needs to improve a little to win today.
