FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MONKSHOOD is clearly going the right way and can maintain his progression on his first try at three miles. Today's trip is likely to suit him, given he is a staying type, and he comes here as a proven performer who comfortably holds Minella Beau (albeit he now receives 3lbs) on recent Fairyhouse form. Moyross also beat Minella Beau when winning over CD in October and while he also now gives that rival 3lbs, might be able to uphold that form given he too is progressive and won comfortably in October. Granny Biddy has solid claims given she receives plenty weight and comes here in terrific form. However she has yet to prove herself at today's trip and while she is clearly a better mare now than when first tried over this trip in the past, she meets proper staying types here. Fabulous Saga is a useful performer but hasn't progressed on recent runs while Burren Life will be well suited by today's trip and is another with claims having won well at Thurles recently.
