FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MONBEG NOTORIOUS is a promising type and while he probably won’t come into his own until his goes chasing, might be good enough to win plenty of these races. Ruby Walsh seemed anxious to inject pace into the race he won at Down Royal last month and while he wasn’t impressive in winning, the race now looks quite strong and a further step up in trip looks sure to suit him here. Screaming Rose is herself a useful type and was a good second in a similar race here last month. She receives just 4lbs from the selection and while she won her bumper on soft to heavy here, might be better on a faster surface. Rathnure Rebel was an impressive point to point winner and while he disappointed in his initial two racecourse starts, bounced back to form when winning at Clonmel latest. This is a step up in grade though and he might struggle to beat the selection. Catcheragain comes here in excellent health but will surely be chasing just a black-type placing while Lilywhite Gesture is also chasing black-type and has plenty to find.
