FormscanBy Donal Murphy - Dual course and distance winner ZEFTAN gets the nod in what is an ultra-competitive renewal of this contest. The eight-year-old son of Bachelor Duke rarely runs a bad race at the Curragh, staying on well to finish fourth on his most recent start here over a mile and two. He should be suited by the step up in trip to a mile and a half now, and with Danny Sheehy taking four pounds off he can be expected to go close. Joseph and Ana O'Brien won this race last year with Arya Tara, and they are represented by Thomas O'Malley this time round. The three-year-old gelding has yet to win a race, but has been placed six times from ten starts, and another good effort looks likely from him here with just eight stone nine on his back. Mademoiselle Penny won last time out at Cork, and she looks to have solid claims, while others to consider are eight time winner Bayan, the Val O'Brien trained From Eden, and Peter Fahey's Serefeli.
