The five-year-old son of Raven's Pass won twice on the level when trained in France, and has been campaigned over hurdles since joining Willie Mullins. He was beaten a neck into second on his most recent start at the Punchestown Festival, and he should give a good account of himself here off a mark of 90 with Pat Smullen booked to ride. The Jim Bolger trained Tipstaff is given second preference. He was third in a Listed contest at Cork last October, and makes his handicap debut here, while he also fitted with cheekpieces for the first time. Spruce Meadows was unlucky when finishing second in the Cork Derby recently, and he looks a leading contender, while others to consider in this competitive contest are My Direction for Ellmarie Holden, the Ger Lyons trained Mawaany, and the Tony Martin duo of Sweet Company and Landsman.
