The pair clashed almost three weeks ago over course and distance with Duchess Of France taking the honours by two and three quarter lengths. Tobacco Bay travelled well into the race but didn't trouble the winner in the final furlong. However, she has an 8lb pull in the weights this time which gives her every chance of revenge. Duchess Of France has hit a purple patch as prior to that win she was just pipped by a neck in Ayr. She has gone up 9lbs which makes life much more difficult but she could be progressive. Betty Loch never showed when a beaten favourite at Gowran last Sunday. If that run was a blip, then the 18/1 on offer could look massive. Richard Hannon sends Ventura Blues across the Irish Sea and her chance has to be respected. She has won two of her six races and has been placed in her last two outings. She is lurking down near the bottom of the weights. It would be no surprise to see the Aidan O'Brien pair Asking and Music Box get into the mix.
