FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MISS POWER is a capable and progressive type and might be able to win here. She has clearly been in excellent form this year and while beaten from 1lbs lower on her latest start, she is still progressing and being a four year old, is capable of further improvement in time. Stablemate Magic Bear has a very similar profile to the selection and is herself progressive. She disappointed slightly at Cork latest but is also still open to more improvement also being a four year old and is again ridden by a capable claimer. Abstraction tops the weights with a rating of 93 but he too comes into contention having run well when third in a smart Dundalk handicap win by 107 rated Moviesta on July 12. Remarkably, and frustratingly in equal measure, the son of Majestic Missile has won just twice but did once have a rating of 106 himself and might now be able to win a third race, having been dropped by the handicapper in recent times. Enter The Red was a winner at this venue last month and while that was over six furlongs, he has previously won twice at this trip. Three year old Snowstar won her own maiden race at Tipperary over this trip earlier in July but isn’t helped by being 3lbs out of the handicap today, on just her second career handicap start.
