FormscanBy Gary Carson - This looks a nice opportunity for ANNAMATOPOEIA who has been running against some smart sorts and takes a drop in grade. She faced some very stiff tasks over the winter against some classy mares and performed with plenty of credit on several occasions. She bumped into a useful sort again when chasing home Go Darsi Go at Roscommon earlier in the month and this looks the best chance she's had of victory over fences to date. The obvious threat looks to be the Jessica Harrington-trained Duckweed who has run a couple of decent races over timber since winning at Kilbeggan. She is an ex-pointer so the switch to fences shouldn't be a problem. More Than Ever won a maiden hurdle at Tramore last month but was only fifth off a mark of 93 in a handicap at Downpatrick last time which would leave her with a bit to find with the two mentioned above. Recent point-to-point winner Indy Island is an interesting runner for Stuart Crawford and market moves should be noted.
