FormscanBy Gary Carson - MONKSHOOD looked a nice sort when winning his bumper at Clonmel last season and could be a nice staying novice for the season ahead. He beat a couple of decent sorts then in Arvico Bleu and Iolani and looked the sort to improve again this term. He had been third over hurdles at Navan previously in a decent looking contest won by C'est Jersey and that form looks strong in the context of this race. Sois Gentil won well enough on his debut in a Clonmel last month but on bare form probably needs to step up on his jumping debut to beat the selection. He does have a recent run under his belt which is an advantage. Up For Discussion was second in a weak enough race here last time and this looks harder.
