FormscanBy Gary Carson - SHAWS BRIDGE showed a nice level of ability last season and may be able to strike now on his first start for Gordon Elliott. The Kalanisi gelding shaped nicely on his debut at Down Royal behind a smart sort in Valdieu. He wasn't disgraced in two runs after that, particularly when fourth over in Perth and there looks a bumper to be won with him. Tecumseh Sherman has been runner-up twice but it's a slight concern that he found little at this business end on his previous visit here. Tonicngin was runner-up on his sole start in England but that form doesn't look strong. Oscar Montel ran a nice race when third on his 'track' debut at Listowel and could be a danger. Arakan Quest has been knocking on the door and looks another that has to come into calculations in a competitive heat.
