FormscanBy Donal Murphy - The two handicap debutants catch my eye here, with both making the long journey north from Co Wexford. The Sean Doyle trained SPARTA MAESTRO is marginally preferred over Shay Slevin's Spring Well. The selection has been disappointing on the track to date, but did show some ability in point-to-point's. He was set to finish a good third at Inchydoney in May of 2018, but fell at the last there and was subsequently out of action for nearly a year. He is potentially well-treated off a mark of 89 and a bold bid looks likely with Paul Cawley claiming seven pounds. Spring Well has shown a bit more than the selection and was second in a point-to-point at Monksgrange in April. Tagg's Island, Musical Ava and Greenandwhitearmy all filled the runner-up spot last time out and it'll come as little surprise if any of them manage to go one place better now.
