Those out to ‘get’ the Stowaway gelding will hang their hats on the fact that Gordon Elliott’s charge has failed in five attempts to date to score in bumper company. Plenty say if they haven’t won one after two or three goes they’re not going to win one, but that theory has often been disproved at this stage. Mulifactorial has run at some of the top venues thus far and like his dam Zuzka (won a bumper on debut at Kilbeggan in May 2012) he might prove to be more of a spring/summer type. In fairness to Zuzka – a well-bred sort – she went on to score in Grade Three mares company on soft ground at Leopardstown in December 2013. Like Multifactorial, Fasola Tido was also bred by Ken Parkhill and she’s probably the most obvious alternative to the selection.
