Johnny Murtagh’s charge was quite keen on that occasion, and will need to settle a bit better over this extra furlong. Political Policy seems versatile trip wise, having scored over six furlongs last month but also showed he gets this distance. Fix It appeared to just get first run on him last time, and the consistent top-weight may now exact revenge. Meihua was prominent throughout when beaten about two lengths in that race, and could improve as that was coming off a break of over three months. Any market move for the selection’s stable-companion Mezogiorno would be interesting as he tackles handicap company and this surface for the first time having encountered soft ground in three quick runs towards the backend of the turf season.
