FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - We saw Brendan Duke work the oracle with Mister Benedictine during the summer and CIRCUS ACT is afforded one last chance to go and win a race – something he should comfortably achieve on his pedigree. Having his first start since behind purchased by Duke's brother, Joseph, out of the Vincent Ward-yard, Circus Act has indicated race winning potential on more than one occasion and it's certainly disappointing that he hasn't delivered before now. However, maybe the change of scenery and a first-time tongue-strap can unlock that potential. The now five-year-old, who started off for Godolphin, is by Cape Cross out of the Group 1 winner, Carry On Katie and it's encouraging to see Shane Foley booked for the mount now. There are a few in the line-up with more obvious credentials than Circus Act and they include La Oliva (a winner last time out) and Massabini (Joseph O'Brien up again and dropping in trip after finishing second here a fortnight ago). Tried in blinkers for the initial occasion, Indian Arch is another that could go well.
