Initially rated 97 and a tenth-placed finisher in the 2019 Coventry Stakes for Richard Hannon, his rating plummeted to 77 following his maiden win here in early November. He followed up with that win when second over CD on handicap debut last week and being a 3yo, is open to more progression now that he found his form. Shawaf, a free-going type, seems to have improved slightly since dropping to this 6f trip, for the first time since last December, when winning over course and distance in October and ran a solid race in defeat in another CD handicap recently. He is closely matched with KUWAIT DIRECTION on that recent handicap run but might lack his scope for progression. Ola Bonita was beaten a short-head by the selection in early November before herself winning over CD 9 days ago and while raised 6lbs for the win, should still get involved. Master Matt is a quirky and talented type but doesn't look ahead of the handicapper. Mrs Bouquet is a capable type and while raised to 86 following her latest win, was rated 97 as a juvenile and can get involved. Tide Of Time, a six-time turf winner, makes his all-weather debut and is probably best watched today while Earls, who has been unplaced on his three all-weather starts, comes here in excellent form but has a preference for easy turf ground.
