The pair clashed off level weights at Punchestown in October with A Wave Of The Sea rallying to get the verdict by a neck. It isn't going to be easy for him to repeat the feat, though, as he has to give Cerberus 4lb under the conditions of this race. However, A Wave Of The Sea created a lasting impression on his next start at Down Royal when routing the opposition by 20 lengths on soft ground. Cerberus almost did the same when next out over course and distance as he cruised in by 19 lengths on heavy ground. This could be an excellent race between the pair. Dinard Rose looks the main threat to the duo, off a light weight. She was unlucky on her jumps debut at Galway when hampered at the second last by a loose horse but made no mistake when winning at Gowran Park. Saint D'oroux went off favourite on debut at Down Royal but finished well behind A Wave Of The Sea in fourth. He is likely to show much more today, in the first-time tongue-strap. Royal Aide won twice on the flat for Joseph O'Brien and makes his jumping debut for Denis Hogan. You would think he must be showing up well at home to be pitched into this company.
