FormscanBy Michael Graham - A tricky contest with the main protagonists mixing winning and being pulled up. Highdownhill is a case in point with two wins and two Ps beside his name in his last four races. There's no doubt he has the talent to win this, but I don't like advising horses that were pulled up last time. MURCHU looks the best bet. Three miles one on heavy ground round Fairyhouse will take some getting. The fact that he clearly relished three miles five here when winning a Grade C at the start of December is very reassuring. His trainer Shark Hanlon was quoted afterwards as saying "he stays all day". He looks a good each way bet to nothing as he should be in the first three. Tarquinius was pulled up in the race Murchu won, but then secured a nice win at Leopardstown. He rates the main danger.
