He had some fair nursery form on testing ground last year including at this track, and his third to Scholastic on his second start over hurdles wasn’t a bad effort with a subsequent winner finishing just behind him. Although we haven’t seen much of Peter Carberry in his native land of late, he’s ridden plenty of winners in Britain in the past. Perry Owens was never really going before finishing fast for third on his hurdles debut at Ballinrobe and blinkers look a good move for him. French Asset, Alexei Vronsky and Sideshift are all of interest starting out over hurdles with the latter two having won Flat handicaps on a sound surface for Michael O’Callaghan in the early part of the summer.
