The Paddy Meany trained ten-year-old is a course specialist, with all five of her wins coming at the Co Kilkenny venue. She has been very disappointing so far this campaign, and as a result is now rated just 49. Her most recent effort at Tipperary was however a lot more encouraging, and with Tom Madden taking a valuable five pounds off here, she can be expected to go close. Musical Jewel has performed well on her last two starts, and she is given second preference with Emmet McNamara in the saddle for Sarah Lynam. Bert Leaf was successful on his penultimate outing at Bellewstown, and he is tried in cheekpieces for the first time, while so too is top-weight Timia who is sure to prove popular with punters.
