FormscanBy Michael Graham - RATHVINDEN was very good in Galway and makes plenty of appeal. He looked a serious horse the day he won his bumper at Downpatrick over four years ago and so it proved as he finished third in the Grade One Neptune at Cheltenham behind the mighty Faugheen in 2014. He has missed a long time with injury but jumped notably well in a Grade Three at Ballybrit and is an exciting horse to go chasing with. Willie Mullins mentioned the Grade One Drinmore as a possible target if he keeps progressing. Peregrine Run was beaten over seven lengths by Rathvinden in Galway but he won his bumper at this track and has bagged two novice chases. More euro should be banked today. Conrad Hastings won by a short head here and the runner-up, Potters Point, franked the form by going in at Tramore by a healthy eight lengths. However, Rathvinden beat Potters Point before that by five lengths in Galway. Conrad Hastings is on a hat-trick of novice chases and shouldn't be underestimated, though.
