FormscanBy Donal Murphy - AGUSTA GOLD looks the one to beat here. She disappointed on her hurdling debut over the course and distance in May, with her rider Danny Mullins later reporting that: "his mount jumped slowly during this race." The daughter of Gold Well bounced back to form on her most recent start at Wexford, going down by a length to Mysloegin over two and a half miles. She kept on well in the closing stages on that occasion, and should really appreciate this step up in trip to two mile six. Dalouga has been placed on all five starts to date, but she hasn't been since last August, and is likely to come on plenty for this run, which is her first over hurdles. Mags Mullins trains the selection, and she also saddles bumper winner Dani Theatre. Off the track for well over two years, the daughter of King's Theatre returned to action at Punchestown in April, finishing down the field in a Grade 3 contest. She makes her debut over flights now, and it'll be interesting to see how she fares with Tommy Brett taking seven pounds off. Others each-way contenders here are Ballybrowney Walk, Granny Maura, and Empors Sword.
