FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - We had a couple of first time hooded victors here on Wednesday, including New Identity ridden by Denis Linehan. Unfortunately for Linehan he felt the wrath of the stewards after that, picking up a 6 day 'holiday.' Anyway he might be able to make more hay with the sun shining courtesy of KARANNELLE in this extended mile heat. A first time 'pacifier' may help the daughter of Nathaniel, and Johnny Murtagh (on ITV duty over at York) continues to have his team in decent nick. David Bobbett's colours have been more familiar in the jumping sphere, but he could have a bit of fun with Karannelle, as she looks capable of progress judging on her good handicap debut fourth placing at Galway. Murtagh has a nice back-up contender in the shape of Wilderness, and there are several others that seem capable of making an impression also.
