He has found it hard to get his head in front this year but has run several creditable races when placed in good company. Perhaps the drop back to seven furlongs will aid him as he hasn't always been at his strongest at the business end over a mile and over nine furlongs. It certainly looks worth trying in addition to first-time cheekpieces. He has won twice at this track before. The others have plenty to find on ratings but Laughifuwant was gambled on in Cork and finished third to Pincheck's second. He looks a threat, particularly over this trip. The market hasn't spoken in Amedeo Modigliani's favour in his last four outings. He is another dropping in trip. He could appreciate this field more than the Balmoral Handicap he contested at Ascot last Saturday. His form looked strong going into that race but he came home 14th so has some questions to answer now.
