They looked to go fairly quick in that race and the son of Australia picked them off in some style, recording an eight-length success. He seems to stay very well and you would assume that his stable-mate Sovereign will try and make it a proper test of stamina again for him. Buckhurst looked a nice prospect when getting up on the line to win his maiden here last month. He's another son of Australia and stepping up in trip here looks like it can only bring improvement but he does take a considerable step up in class now. Rakan improved nicely to win on his second start here over a mile in October and he could be another that improves for going further but likewise he has a lot more on his plate now.
