He kept good company in maidens last year, behind the likes of Rekindling and Grandee but probably didn't run up to that level with well held in fifth in a Leopardstown maiden on his return this season. He was far from disgraced when pitched into Listed company at Navan last time, however, and on that showing he looks nicely treated off a mark of 88 in this conditions event. Blinkers are tried for the first time here and if they have the desired effect they may bring a little improvement. Modern Approach has been dropped 3lb since finishing third behind easy winner Khudha at the Curragh last time and looks a danger for an in-form yard. What Wonders Weave took a maiden over in Scotland last time and it will be interesting to see how she fares put in off a mark of 85 here.
