He goes well on good ground, is clearly fit and well and a reproduction of Saturday’s win would see him involved at the business end here. Cable is himself a capable type and won here, over slightly shorter, this month. He needs a sound surface and should be capable of making the selection work. Fire In Soul, Bryan Cooper’s pick, was a useful hurdler in 2016 and while he has failed to build on that over fences thus far, can still get involved here if returned to his best old form. Bull Ride was himself useful over hurdles and was an unlucky loser at Down Royal in May. he disappointed badly at Sligo latest and needs to return to his best to have a chance today. Ten year old Kalann is capable at best and while he is vulnerable to smart performers, has already contested four chases and can win races over fences.
