FormscanBy Michael Graham - COLD STEEL is going the right way. He began his career with an eighth place in what is proving to be a good Curragh maiden before getting closer in fourth at Killarney. He was hampered in the closing stages there which did him no favours. Flying Visit is the most experienced in the field with three third places from his five outings. His best form has been on testing ground so although rain is forecast, he would probably welcome plenty of it. There are plenty of potential improvers including the Joseph O'Brien pair of Louisville and Kalu Pande. Dermot Weld's Famous Name gelding Mister Hitchcock could appreciate a bit of better ground. Weld has a good record in this race. Dha Leath ran freely on debut at Limerick, but finished well and cannot be ruled out.
For two years old only, maidens at starting that are EBF eligible and whose sire established one or more yearling sales in the relevant year with a median price of not more than #30,000Weights - 9st 7lbs Fillies allowed 5lbs
