FormscanBy Mark Nunan - MOHTARRIF stepped up appreciably on his third start for Ger Lyons when staying on nicely in a better grade of handicap at Leopardstown, and can be a first racecourse winner for his young jockey who was successful in the pony racing sphere. Connections have an impressive track record in sourcing horses from Britain, and the Cape Cross gelding looks to have the potential to pick up a handicap or two. Lord Park looks a danger after a fine handicap debut in a strong 3-y-o event at the Curragh and his rider has recently landed two big handicap prizes for the Halford stable. Awaasef is a well-bred filly who could be on a nice opening mark, while the ex-Roger Varian inmate Bardo Contiguo stayed on well at Galway and looked like he wanted this trip.
