FormscanBy Tom Weekes - THE BROGHIE MAN has shown up well on three starts today and is well suited by today’s conditions and can win. He ran a good race when fourth in a valuable Sales Race at the Curragh recently, is proven at this trip and on soft ground and, of those with offical ratings, has just 4bs to find with Would You Believe. Would You Believe is top rated, is clearly capable and has winning form at this trip and on soft ground. He is a big danger to the selection but does lack a little experience which is a minor concern. Swiss Cottage has himself shown a smart level of ability and wasn’t beat far when last of five in a competitive Group 2 at the Curragh recently. He is a winner waiting to happen but could be inconvenienced by dropping to this trip. Powersville, who has a bit to find with Would You Believe (albeit meets him on 2lbs betetr terms today) and while she beat Stewardess when winning at Navan earlier, is not certain to confirm that form with a 6lbs swing today. Spiorad Saoirse has shown ability on soft ground but drops back to 6f today and also isn’t helped by his big weight while Apple Anni won on soft at Beverley latest but faces a much stiffer task today.
