FormscanBy Tom Weekes - BEST BEHAVIOR can follow up his Leopardstown Christmas win here. He was a useful hurdler and while his initial chase runs were unexciting, he caught the eye at Naas in December before winning on handicap chase debut at Leopardstown. He has been penalised 8lbs for that win but should be able cope with it and might turn the placings with Caravation on Naas form. Caravation finished 12.5L ahead of BEST BEHAVIOR then but the selection appeared open to further progression and now meets Caravation, who herself won over course and distance recently, 8lbs better off. The Gunner Murphy makes his handicap chase debut from 122, 7lbs below his hurdles mark and could well play a big part, having gained experience in three previous also-ran beginners chase outings. Stones And Roses made jumping errors before pulling up at Limerick over Christmas and while he did previously win over a similar trip at Cork, comes here with a little to prove. Uaintseenothingyet might improve from his recent reappearance run at Cork and while he has been lightly raced, remains fairly unexposed and could get involved.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards that have not won a steeplechase before 5th May 2019, other than one hunters steeplechase within the previous two National Hunt seasons (130 = 11st 10lbs) Weights - Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 11st 10lbs Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each steeplechase won.
