FormscanBy Gary Carson - BALLYWARD ran a decent race when fourth on his return to action at Leopardstown over Christmas and with that run under his belt he should prove hard to beat now. The Flemensfirth gelding looked an exciting prospect when taking his bumper by 16-lengths at the Dublin venue the previous season on his first outing for Mullins but wasn't seen after that win. He was easy to back for his return and could be excused some ring-rust. It wasn't a bad effort to finish fourth in a hot enough maiden hurdle, however, and a similar effort may even be enough to get the job done here. Dr Wallace is another who made a big impression when taking his bumper but hasn't been seen since that victory at Navan in December 2016. He has his first start for Martin Brassil now and it will be interesting to see how he fares. As You Were ran well to chase home Blow By Blow at Navan last month and looks another that could play a leading role here.%0A
