The Millenary gelding will not lack for stamina in the testing conditions having won over an extra half-mile, and is of obvious interest now in the care of Gordon Elliott. He usually likes to race up with the pace, and the first time cheek-pieces worn last time are retained. All The Chimneys has won twice at this venue in the past and comes here in reasonable form off the back of a few placed efforts, while Flemenstorm and Effernock Lad dead-heated over this course and distance last term and reoppose on very similar terms. Timiyan looked a decent sort in his younger days on the Flat with Dermot Weld but has been generally disappointing over jumps including when fancied for the Galway Hurdle last summer. He’s shown little since sent chasing this year and has plenty of weight in his first handicap.
