FormscanBy Alan Magee - DISKO has always been held in high regard by connections, and can make a winning start over fences. The grey son of Martaline made an impressive debut here in a bumper, and recorded another wide-margin victory in a Naas maiden hurdle nearly 12 months ago. He was sidelined last winter until one further run here at the Festival meeting, and has reportedly pleased connections in some racecourse schooling sessions. Last Goodbye progressed really well last term, and completed a four-timer when landing a competitive handicap hurdle at the Cork Easter meeting. Liz Doyle’s charge handles a variety of ground conditions, and should certainly win races over fences. Gigginstown are three-handed here, and Crest is another interesting recruit to fences. The five-year-old gelding upset odds-on stable-companion Kashmiri Sunset on debut in a Navan maiden hurdle, and also showed promise on a much sounder surface at Kilbeggan in May.
