FormscanBy Alan Magee - There is precious little to choose between Sizing John and DJAKADAM with slight preference for the latter to complete a hat-trick in this Grade 1. Willie Mullins has produced the French bred gelding in fine shape on his seasonal debut for the past two seasons, and he again makes his reappearance in this 2m4f test. Sizing John enjoyed a golden spring when stepped up in trip to complete the Gold Cup treble at Leopardstown, Cheltenham and here at the Festival when just getting the better of the selection by a short-head. He previously accounted for Sub Lieutenant in the Kinloch Brae at Thurles, and that rival comes here off a disappointing run at Down Royal. A Toi Phil is certainly race-fit but looks a little short of top class, while Carlingford Lough doesn’t usually find his form until the spring.
