The Beat Hollow gelding, a half-brother to Dawn Shadow who has won twice over hurdles recently for Dot Love, ran a cracker on debut when just denied in the Goffs Land Rover Bumper here at the Festival meeting. That valuable sales race often throws up decent types, and among those behind were Early Doors, runner-up in the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle last Sunday, and Rapid Escape. The latter has won two bumpers this term, and his Down Royal win ties in with one of the chief dangers here. Dunvegan made a very promising debut when runner-up in the north, and the form of that race has a solid look with the first three pulling clear. Active Force won a Courtown point-to-point in good style for Denis Murphy this spring and subsequently fetched 165,000 at a Cheltenham Sale, while Moratorium and Dumhach Thra are two newcomers to note in the market.
