FormscanBy Tom Weekes - GREAT FIELD has tearaway tendencies and takes his first step to a Grade 1 race here but has promised plenty in his chase starts todate and is likely to take plenty beating. He has a dramatic way of front-running and while he has yet to meet any of today’s useful rivals, the manner of his recent wins suggest he could take catching back over this shorter two miles trip. Ball D'arc is greatly experienced for a novice, having already had 12 previous chase runs, and has proven himself a useful type, He lacks a gear to be a top class novice but should be involved at the business end and could take advantage of a below-par or erratic run from the selection. Ballyoisin, himself a keen front-runner, was upsides Ball D’Arc when falling at Navan in February and can play his part today. In-running, he himself might have to settle for second behind probable leader GREAT FIELD, and while he might possibly need to improve to win, should be involved for the placings. Ordinary World has chased home some top novices in recent runs and while he faces a slightly lesser task here than in the Arkle at Cheltenham, he remains vulnerable to another high class performer here. Townshend takes a big step up in class for this and while he hails from a top yard, needs a career best effort to win while stablemate Listen Dear might struggle to win against these geldings.
