FormscanBy Donal Murphy - THE RED MENACE is the pick in this competitive contest. He beat Dommage Pour Toi at Leopardstown in March, and that one since won a Grade 2. For whatever reason he disappointed on his next start at Fairyhouse, but bounced back to form on his most recent outing at Kilbeggan, staying on well to finish a close fourth in the race won by Judgement Day. That contest was over two mile three, and stepping up in trip now to three miles should suit him well. Cray was an easy winner at Tipperary on his penultimate start, and is given second preference. He found himself too far off the pace on his most recent outing at Cork, keeping on well in the closing stages to take fifth. Tipperary winner Stacks Mountain is sure to have plenty of supporters with Davy Russell booked to ride, while Falak, who finished a good fourth at the Punchestown Festival, and The Long Mile (first time cheekpieces) are other leading contenders.
