FormscanBy Tom Weekes - CALL IT MAGIC has been in excellent form over fences in recent times and might be able to defy top weight and win this. He has yet to win over hurdles and is clearly a much better chaser, but this type of trip on testing ground might bring out the best in him and he may prove too strong for lesser experienced rivals. Dom Dolo has himself had just two runs but did show plenty ability when winning his maiden hurdle at Punchestown last month. He is clearly open to plenty more improvement and while he does lack experience, has proven stamina and receives a useful 10lbs from the selection. Laverteen has been running well recently and while well held in a valuable handicap latest, now steps up in trip for the first time which could bring about improvement. Ben Brody is proven at this grade in conventional handicaps and has claims. Stepping up in trip is likely to help Chatham Street Lad and while he can be expected to benefit from his most recent Clonmel run, he effectively competes from 113 here against more experienced horses.
