FormscanBy Tom Weekes - SAMANNTOM reverts to hurdling again and might be able to score despite a high weight, His win in a largely uncompetitive five runner handicap chase at Clonmel recently saw his chase mark climb to 116, which is 17lbs above this hurdles rating. It is a concern he failed to win in his two most recent handicap hurdle outings (both over 2m5f) and while he seems trip-versatile, might be slightly better over today’s distance. Zipporah won well at Clonmel recently and despite carrying a 6lbs penalty here, is officially 3lbs well-in, with a 7lbs claimer again in the saddle. Knockraha King won on handicap debut at Clonmel recently and while raised 8lbs, a 7lbs claimer now takes the ride and he is open to some more progression. Conna Cross has been running consistently well and has obvious claims while the same can be said of Ardera Cross whose rider takes off 7lbs.
