He did show a bit in point-to-points before going over the water and presumably his new connections saw something there to take a chance on him. Western Sea comes into the race in winning form and looks to have an obvious chance. He went up 9lb for a narrow success at Thurles a fortnight ago but that form looks solid with the runner-up Whatsinthecorner second again since. British Art ran well at a big price when third at Clonmel last week and if he can repeat that showing he is entitled to get involved again.
