FormscanBy Tom Weekes - TREE OF KNOWLEDGE was undoubtably disappointing on his reappearance run at Sligo in July but may have the winning of this on his previous form. A smart type on the flat for Aidan O’Brien (was once rated 103 on the flat), he has yet to show the same level of ability over hurdles but would have solid claims on best form in what looks just an ordinary race today. Super Bowl himself has ability but was a much inferior horse to TREE OF KNOWLEDGE on the flat and disappointed badly at Tipperary latest. He has sound claims on best form but that latest Tipperary run is an obvious concern today. Skeaping was himself rated 84 on the flat in the past and while he has won just once from 24 runs, has shown enough over hurdles to suggest he can win a maiden hurdle of this nature. He was caught close home at Downpatrick latest and while clearly no star, may be more suited to this drop back to 2m. Storm Rising was also a useful flat performer and while he ran fairly well in a hot race at Galway latest, needs to settle better and may do better with more experience behind him.
