FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ABRAHAM did well to win on his second hurdles start at Cork in July and might be able to defy top weight and win this competitive looking race. A solid staying flat performer, he seemed to learn plenty from his hurdles debut mishap and could be the type to compete from a sightly higher rating than this 114 rating in time. Get Smart was himself a maiden hurdle winner at Wexford latest and also seems progressive. He won at this trip at Wexford and can also compete from his initial hurdles rating. Spin A Yarn is another progressive type and while he faces a tougher task than when winning at Balllinrobe, is still just a four year old and is clearly capable of more improvement. Little Folke was well held at Ballibrobe latest but is a previous course and distance winner and has claims on best form while Jefferson Davis is a very consistent type and is again helped by his rider’s 7lbs claim. Fridaynightlights was behind Jefferson Davis at Galway latest but won twice at this trip in April and cannot be dismissed today.
